Prepositions used for Time:

حروف الجر للزمن

1-On is used with days.   1-يستخدم مع الأيام .

• The exam will be on Monday.

2- At is used with (noon, night), and the time of day.  2-  تستخدم مع الظهيرة,الليل,والصباح وكذلك مع الوقت خلال اليوم.

• My plane leaves at noon.
• The movie starts at 6 p.m.

3-In is used with other parts of the day, months, years, and with seasons. 3-تستخدم مع باقي أجزاء اليوموالأشهروالسنة والفصول 

• He likes to sleep in the afternoon.
• The weather is hot in August.
• The car was found in 1964.
• The family will travel in spring.         

In English, the following prepositions are used for a longer or extended time

في الانجليزية الحروف التالية تستخدم للفترات الزمنية الطويلة

1. It has been broken since the morning.
2. I am going to sleep for 7 hours.
3. She is going to travel from (beginning) France to (ending). Italy tonight. 

ستسافر من(البداية) فرنسا إلى(نهاية) إيطاليا

4. The boys were camping from the morning until midnight.

5. I play games during the weekends.

6. She must complete the essay within a week.
